Tradition:
The Kortenhof is a lovely farm in western Germany and is home to Bernese and Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and to Haflinger Horses. 
 
The farm is also known for horseback and carriage riding lessons at its equestrian center.

The Bernese Mountain Dog:
The Bernese is originally from Switzerland and belongs to the group of working dogs.
In the alps, the Bernese Mountain Dog's strong build and broad chest was useful
for pulling the milk carts and for transporting milk from the farm into the valley.
Since the Bernese seek a job, they often take to guarding the house.

They are very good natured and great
with kids.
In short, the Bernese is a great family dog.
